Phyllis Smith Kester is a published author and graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speaker Services). She has owned and operated a total health business and taught mathematics in both public and private schools. She has also taught Sunday School, led Bible studies, and served on the Steering Committee of the Greater Houston Great Commission Prayer Crusade. In addition to speaking at seminars, conducting teachers’ in-services, addressing the Texas legislature and several state textbook committees on education issues, she was one of the presenters for a National Convention of Concerned Women for America in Washington, D.C. She has been interviewed on TV and radio regarding educational, religious, and family issues.

After retiring from teaching at Liberty University, she and her husband of 57 years enjoyed discussions, hiking, and traveling worldwide, especially when some of their extended family joined them.
